Motorola QIP2500 SD FiOS TV Box
Motorola QIP2500 is the basic set top box for FiOS TV. Though an entry Level box in the FiOS market, it is one of the new and advanced Boxes produced by Motorola. The QIP part of its model number tells you it employs the new IP transport technology. That is right, the stage is being set to make the difference between a Computer, TV, Phone, Pocket Pc, Ipod, Blackberry even fuzzier!
For anyone entering the Fios TV world for the first time, this is the box you need to get what we have normally called "Basic" or "Standard" Cable. Don't sweat too much, when the Fios Tech comes out to install your New service, they will bring along one of these just for you. You will have to shell out a monthly charge of $4.99 though.
